The areas around Paso Robles yield some great photo opportunities, even in your own backyard (just hang up a few bird feeders). Day trips to Santa Barbara, Solvang, King City, Los Padres Forest, the lakes and ocean are examples of artwork waiting for you to frame. Even when it's overcast, the colors can be striking, as this maple reveals. The picture of the Oriental Poppy below was taken in Solvang --- low clouds.
