FRED'S NORWALK SERVICE STATION

We complain that gas isn't still 36.9 cents per gallon, but remember, folks were only making $1.00 to $5.00 per hour.

Say you were making $3.70 per hour in 1958 and paying 37 cents for gas. The modern equivalent for $1.85 per gallon is $18.50 per hour in wages.

Whatever happened to walking, using a bicycle or taking a bus?
