PASO ROBLES BOWL

You could either go to the movies or bowling, take your choice. Summer leagues were a kick and gave us something safe to do on Saturday mornings.

Noisy, crowded, a bit dirty and raucous, this was the place for a guy to see the gang and meet girls. It was here that Wordydave experienced 'love at first sight' as Linda, Karen and Jeanette walked in one morning to check things out. Life would never be the same.

Eight lanes (?), pin setters, distorted/uncomfortable shoes, balls with chipped finger holes, pinball machines, cigarette and cigar smoke, 6 oz. bottles of Coke, and general mayhem were earmarks of this Paso landmark. You can still visit, but you won't hear anyone bowling. And you can go upstairs and check out a really strange room.
