 Right across from the high school, Smith's Drive-In had great burgers, but you could still see the prison you'd soon have to return to after lunch. A greater sense of freedom accompanied a trip to
A & W down Spring Street.

But if you only had pennies in your pocket, Foster's Freeze would have to do. Either that, or the cafeteria or another bologna sandwich.
