Tie Dye Row
VANITY FAIR IN PROGRESS

Please!!!!!!
Show me something I haven't seen before! Thank you, Pioneer Day for not commercializing every square inch of space to feed the dark passions of stupidity spending. Granted, there were some legitimate products and crafts that seemed honorable enough, but all of that 'cutesy' stuff that will only collect dust and be out of style in a few years isn't worth looking at.

It was more fun to watch the kids do their thing at different venues.

Around the World
WHADDA YA MEAN, THEY DON'T GO UPSIDE DOWN?!

Kids loved it and most grandma and grandpa's wouldn't have gone except for them. Rides, rock wall climbing, slides, race tracks, ping pong ball toss, inflatables --- all kept the little ones from being bored to tears.

Slip and Slide Inside
INSIDE SLIP 'N' SLIDE

We old-timers didn't have the panoply of cool stuff these kids enjoy now. We had the cheap, beat up metal cars that you could pretend to drive on a tethered spoke, round and round until you were dizzy, or bored and dizzy. For more excitement you got permission to ride the 3' high roller coaster for a 10 second lap for a few minutes. Rickety but a little more wind in your hair. Then if Mom was brave enough she'd go with you or let you go alone on the Ferris wheel or Tilt-a-Whirl. You could legally throw up on either of them and become an instant hero.
