From Frank Mecham - I've known Pat Butler and her family for many, many years. She was one of the most gracious ladies I've ever known. Her kindness and devotion to the kids she taught was amazing. She taught my daughter, Kelly, and Kelly absolutely adored Pat Butler.
I'll never forget the day that I was asked to attend her school while I was the Mayor of Paso Robles. I called Pat and asked if she would go with me. You wouldn't believe how much that meant to the kids to actually see her and hear her speak to them.
If we only had more educators like Pat Butler, our schools, our community and our country would be much better for it.
