Schoolgirls Sandy Thixton and Ginnie
Skinner remain compadres,
(or is that commadres?) after all this time. Thanks, Sandy, for being
a 'sister' to my sis.
Greg and Shirley Klintworth Capaci enjoy
chatting with the
hordes, but took time to pose for this great shot.
Boy, now we could get into some
real storytelling. This girl
lived four houses away during our Creston Park adventures and
still wears the Cheerleader on the Block crown. Pure energy in
a small package; nicknamed, Mouse; lover of heel-biting Tippy the
Chihuahua; first kissed by the guy four houses away --- thanks,
Marcie Monroe for that ever-smiling face and never-hating heart.
Three friends stop for a shot. Dennis
Ruggles, Marty
Heynen and Pat Fell. All Class of '64 movers and shakers.
Drew Branche and Larry Harp might be
talking about
playing football and running track together in high
school, but probably not.
Sorry this isn't the best of pictures.
Yes, folks, I
should have used flash for all of these. Just figure
that most of your wrinkles are hidden due to the slow
shutter speed. Here's Joe Schlegel and wife, Ann Williams.
Joe used to live on Creston Road. Marty and I would run
by his house just about every day when we wanted to
get something from the store across the street from him.
Both of our backyards extended into an oak-studded gully
that we easily ran down (our side) and trudged up (his side).
His mom would invite us to lunch sometimes. She was the
queen of sandwich makers.
